<p>At the same time, isn't it funny how liberalism is constantly associated with the Democratic Party and conservativism is associated with Republicans? My <em>former</em> AP World teacher wrote an excellent essay on the shift of political associations over time (too bad he had a formerly-attractive female student move in with him and was forced to resign), and it wasn't always like this. Assuming a Conservative votes Republican or vice versa (and same for Democrats), in many cases, is an overgeneralization.</p>

<p>so what you have to do is pick the lesser of two evils. no side is better than the other, the other one is just worse.</p>
<p>I can't pick a side. Both sides have contradictory position. I would consider myself a classical liberal I think.</p>

<p>^That is what's wrong with politics today. No one can think freely. They are forced to pigeonhold themselves by choosing either: democrat or republican. No one has their own opinions anymore.
