Just wondering.

Yeah to quote Mc Chris: "Southern belle from the Bible Belt, together forever? Only time will tell. Until I know for sure, know that I'm in hell. Know when you kiss me deep, know that it's deeply felt. My eyes swell up with your car pulls up, feel like a dumb **** thats **** outta luck, love bites, love bleeds, love ****ing sucks..".and so on

I am about as liberal as one can get... personally, I think the biggest problem with the American system is that there are only two major Party. In Switzerland, where I am from, there are nine.

Nora, but you're overlooking something about multi-party systems- coalitions. Even if you actually have nine parties, coalitions are formed that basically give one of the two centrist parties the most say over what happens in policymaking.

They also lead to gridlock.

The problem with American politics isn't really the party system, it's the fact that there's no real reason to really demand change. A too comfortable electorate tends not to really agitate much for change.

i'm moderate, strongly leaning liberal.

Liberal: 13.75

Conservative: 10.25

It doesn't matter if you have two parties or twenty. Look at all the Eurofascist countries. They have an average of at least 5 parties each, and they still suck.

i definitely think we should add moderate as one of the choices.

Moderate is no better than being a liberal or a conservative. Just because you choose the middle between two flawed camps doesn't put you in the right.

of course you're not on the right, if you are in the middle... you can't be conservative and moderate... jk,jk

UCLAri, no, I don't think I agree. In Switzerland, there is an unwritten law that demands that three parties have equal seats in the executive, plus one smaller one. Sure, coalitions do happen, but it does allow people more of a choice where they really belong to. Also, I have never heard of the kind of inner-party struggles that Republicans and Democrats suffer.

wicked i never said moderate puts u in the right. im not even a moderate. i was just saying a significant amount of people are moderates and therefore we should include them in the poll i dont like words being put in my mouth thanks.

don'tworry about it greenday, w1cked tends to do that in every thread he is in.

this thread isn't about which side is better. this thread is about testing the political makeup of CC.

can somebody repost the numbers? there aren't any on this page.

I hate how americans use the term liberal to desribe leftists. It means something completely different.

What are you, Billhpike?

I mean what nationality?

yeah bill, again, there are too many overgeneralizations that associate the left with liberals and Dems and the same with Reps and conservatives and the right.
