How do you guys feel about the Green Party?

Let's first seperate the term "liberal" from "left leaning". I consider myself a leftist, but I'd sure as hell like to dissociate myself from spineless liberals who don't really want to see any major change in society.

Heyy everyone i decided to revive my old thread..i thiink with all the new CC members i'd like to hear all the new opinions and politics!

I just found this thread. I like the Green Party, but I would suggest that you look into the DSA (even though it's an activist organization and not a party). dsausa.org. Their youth division is the YDS.

We cannot have true political reform unless we change our feudalistic economy to an economic democracy, whereby all the employees have a say in what their company is doing.

Mhmmm...interesting.

I skimmed parts of the book Condi vs. Hillary. The author seems to thiink that Hillary is a shoe-in for the democratic nomination, and that the only Republican candidate that could stop her is Condoleeza Rice, because Hillary would certainly beat the conventional, white, male candidate by a landslide. However, Condi has firmly, decisively, clearly stated time and time again she WILL NOT run for President in '08..(a good thing if you ask me)..so...it seems to me that it is very likely that Clinton will be in the oval office. It will be...Bush--Clinton--Bush-- Clinton. I dont know if Clinton is the ideal candidate. I like her. But anyway how does everyone feel about this. Share your thoughts.

Isnt it obvious that Hillary is not gonna be prez?

Umm...nope its not. :) I think there is a significant chance she could be president.

I wish Bush could be president for a third term.

I cant stand Bush he is an awful president. A W F U L.

And this is definitely a liberal thread so yeaa you can make a Conservative thread so all you lovers of Bush can sit there and discuss how you think hes a cool president even though he's royally sucked a$$ being president. :)

And we all know you're a troll.

You can say whatever you want, but it was BUSH who got re-elected. So all you liberals can whine till 2008 :)

Yea well he had a lot of luck on his side. And he didnt win the first election anyway. :) Guess who won the damn popular vote in '00. I think you know.

Actually, it would be a sad day if Hilary gets elected in my opinion. Sure, I agree with her on multiple issues, but in my mind she is way too centrist. The reason is to court the vote of moderate Republicans rather than on basic thought or principle. Example: She's just as much of a hawk as many of her Republican counterparts.

However, I do concede that she is the MUCH lesser evil when compared to President Bush.

Who won? You definitely know :)

Actually, Gore won the popular vote. He would have probably won Florida too if W's Republican judge-buddies didn't stop the vote recount...

exactly. :)

lol there is no such thing as he would have won FL. You never know, he might have won or not. Anyways it's like 8 years ago, shouldn't u guys be looking for the 08 election then grudging over the past?

I am not grudging over the past, the topic came up, I addressed it. if you didnt notivce my entire prior post was talking about the 'o8 election. yupp.

Well, I just thought that all of the votes should have been counted in a representative form of government. '08 doesn't look very good in my mind because it will most likely be choosing the lesser of two evils.

You know, we need a Parliamentary style of democracy...
