Is anyone here applying for the Lien Scholarship? (social sciences one) Does anyone know what the competition is like for it?
If any past winners could post stats, that would be amazing.

There are four other full-tuition scholarships at WashU, separated by field of study. Each of them (Lien, Moog, ...) usually has three winners each year, as I recall. Besides these 15 full-tuition scholarships, there are about 30 half-tuition scholarships offered as well.

D2 is a Moog full-tuition winner, and is in the class of 2008. She had
SAT I: 800M + 770V
ACT: 35/36
SAT II: 800 (Math), 800 (Writing), 790 (Physics)

She had plenty of EC's as well, including music & sports.

D is a Lien full tuition winner. She had a 1510/34 with 3.94 in full IB. I think coming from the west coast may help too. She had average ec's - mostly sports but some unusual hooks. Look at the parents section for another thread on this topic.

thanks for the info. I really want to get it.
