They haven’t given my award status. So I’m hoping to SIR by the end of the week,most probable to UCLA, so I can send the transcripts on time.
@centennial13 I plan on going, mostly want to check out the housing. Also who is definatley going to accept admission? Maybe we can get a list going, I know how much BackNSchool loves lists
Unless Stanford/Harvard comes back with a comparible financial aid offer, I’ll be an anteater this summer. ^.^ Just waiting on financial aid from UCI, then for any word from Stanford… not even holding out for Harvard, i’ll lose my deposit worst comes to worst. Or best comes to best? Eh. Im gonna be an anteater. XD
I expect to stick with Irvine unless by some miracle Georgetown says they’re taking me. And should that change, it’s only a couple hundred. I’ve already sunk over a grand into applications.

Hello everyone, I just joined College Confidential but have been viewing the uci transfer fall 2016 for a while. I heard from a friend who went to the UCI reception for my community college that financial aid will be ready on May 13? I’m not entirely sure. But I want it to be out soon. I have to choose between UCI and Cal and its all dependent on financial aid.
Also, does anybody have the link for the new anteater celebration to RSVP?? Thanks!!
@Lamorra you applied to Georgetown too? I believe i have a decent chance in getting in because my brother went there for undergrad, he’s getting his master’s from there this year, and he got into their med school for fall 2016 so I’m optimistic that could help me haha and @errorthirtyseven that could be a good idea. I SIR’ed to UCI because it was only $100 and waiting for Georgetown’s decision which could be June 1 was making me pull my hair out so I’ll be going to UCI in the fall unless Georgetown accepts me, but it’s a $900 enrollment deposit lol
UCI needs to stop playing with the financial aid award letter. I’m nearly to the point where I’m ready to move on from uci and decided between ucsb and ucla.

Has anyone had a hold placed on their account under the housing section of the portal? I logged in today, so I’ll find out tomorrow when I call why this happened, but it seemed.odd because the hold was placed by information and computer science and.not.admissions… Kind of.knew this wouldn’t go smoothly all the way through lol
@fuzzypants yea i got put place on a non-academic hold too by the school of engineering. It says on their website that every transfer student gets put on hold.
@Hafmanhafmazin Ah, So does that mean we have to wait to get housing until they fill all of the freshman and continuing students?
does anyone know about how we find out when our window for registration will be? i heard it’s soon but i don’t know where you find out what day your registration is. i also heard that you need to meet with an advisor before you can register and i called today and apparently you can’t currently meet with anyone if you’re an incoming student so i’m really confused about what to do?

I have yet to SIR just cause of financial aid, and till then I can’t access anything within the registration portal. I’m worried we get last in line for classes and all the good ones will be full… Hope not, I made up a few possible fall schedules and if it works out like I hope then I’d have a good, not super crazy first quarter to adapt into uci life. Is everyone here graduating from a CC in like less than a month? Don’t mean to totally change topic but wondering who is going to commencements and walking… I’m going to, can’t believe it’s already here. I finished my last psychology paper for my CC today, all I have left is studying for finals… Surreal I guess.
@fuzzypants housing offers dont come out till july…till then we are goin to set up our class schedule with the advisers and we’ll get off the hold. Im going to call today and if they say anything different ill let you know

@fuzzypants i just checked my portal again today and got one too. mine says in red font “1. You have a Non-Admissions Hold.
A UCI office other than Admissions has placed a Hold on your record. Please contact the office(s) listed below directly to inquire about the Hold.” is that yours as well? i read on the academic holds page “This hold is automatically applied to incoming transfer students. It prevents the student from enrolling in classes or paying fees until the student receives academic advising. Removal of this hold is at the discretion of the student’s academic advising office.” so i think that’s probably what it is, but i’m going to call on monday just to make sure
