<p>What is it like to be a transfer student and an out of state student at the same time? Is it hard to make friends? Especially when everybody already has their group of friends made already. I'll be going through recruitment to join a sorority so hopefully that will help me make friends. But aside from that, any advice??</p>
<p>I think it largely depends upon your personality. I did not transfer out of state, although I almost did.</p>
<p>I was a transfer student from a community college and making friends was somewhat difficult inside of my major for the first couple quarters. I did not join a fraternity, though. I transferred with a friend from community college, we bonded more, and then the next year the amount of friends we had skyrocketed. Unfortunately, it was my last year. Same thing happened at community college. I went from zero friends during my third year of community college to probably around 50.</p>
<p>My advice: Get out there and join clubs, rush for sorority, and be approachable. </p>
