life at altoona/erie

If anyone has been to erie/altoona, how are the campuses? Are any of them near a citry, or rural? ANd are the campuses nice: as well as greek life?

I've never been to the altoona campus itself, but I've been to altoona a number of times. altoona is actually larger than state college (pop is 100,000+), but I don't know the relative location of things in comparison to the campus to tell you if they're easily accessible by walking. erie is about the same size, although I've never been there.

I've heard that Altoona is quite nice and the person I know from that campus loved it. She said that the dorms were new and her classes small, giving her alot of individual attention. She said that the students drive to UP for the football games, and many students at Altoona have no interest in changing campuses for their last two years. (I've never been there personally, though).

altoona is what, 50 miles from UP? are theyre allot of frats at Altoona, i heard the city is pretty big, so where does everyone like party? As for adademics, could i study predental or anything besides buisness?

is it possilbe to be transferred after once semeseter?

A. i cant spell
B. im annoying, lol i know, sorry for all the questions im watching 24 now so its not in essay format.

This page has the degrees that can be completed at the altoona campus on it: http://www.aa.psu.edu/page2/degrees.htm if you plan on transferring to the main campus after 2 years, you can pretty much do any major you want that the main campus has to offer. there appear to be 5 frats and 3 sororities on the altoona campus. I don't know about transferring after 1 semester... I looked a while for information on transferring from campus to campus, but wasn't very successful. altoona is approx 45 min by car from up.

HAAAA... life in Erie. If you like to ski and don't mind piles upon piles of snow, by all means, have fun. There's just not a whole lot to do... Erie isn't exactly known for its culture. The campus is nice, it's on the outskirts of the east side, so its more suburban / rural but its pretty close to downtown. I'm not too familiar with the east side of Erie but Walmarts are popping up at there like wild fire so there's obviously some fun to be had (sarcasm) there. From what I've heard, kids there are pretty big partiers, but that's the case at and PSU campus. I don't know much about the Greek life there but I'm sure there's plenty of it..

I like Erie. I'm from Pittsburgh. Behrend was my first campus choice. I went to their Open House and it was really good. UP was just too HUGE for me. I like that it is 4 years there if I want to stay.
