Life at Boston University

I am going to be applying to BU undergrad class of 2018. I am very interested in this school but I have a few questions. First, what is the social life like at BU? More specifically, how much partying vs. studying goes on? How prevalent is the Greek life?

Social life at BU is what you make it. There are a ton of things to do in the city of Boston, as well as parties to go to. Freshman year, it’s really popular to go to frat parties at MIT, BU, and the finals clubs at Harvard. It’s a little different than other schools where you can just walk outside and find a party, but if you look for it, partying is there. As students get older, there are more house/apartment parties and going to bars and clubs.

Greek life is only about 10% of the campus. However, I always see Greeks out and about and they hold lots of events. So if its something you’re interested in, you can definitely get involved and have a great time. However, if you don’t want to be Greek, you won’t really feel like you’re missing out.

Studying vs. partying really depends on how much work you have and how you manage it, like at any school.

Hope this helps!
