How is life at CU-Boulder? Student life? Dorms? Food? People? Professors?

Life at CU is awesome. I’ll start with the city. Boulder constantly ranks as one of the top 10 cities to live in in the Us. It has an amazing atmosphere, excellent food, fun events and the people are lovely. Student life consists of a great deal of partying, as you’d imagine, but also a focus on academic pursuits. Students range from highly qualified individuals to complete bums. The dorms are far, far above average and the scenery is excellent. The food is diverse and superb. There are 5 nobel laureates in the college of arts and sciences alone… need I elaborate? No one goes to Boulder and hates it… unless you’re conservative. In which case it’ll be a hell. Long live the People’s Republic of Boulder.

@heyhey2034 how is life for engineering students? How’s the diversity? How do out of state kids do there?

Can’t speak to how life is for engineers, but it’s truly a top school for the field. The diversity is a bit bland. The vast majority of students are white, but I would consider it eclectic. I think there is a lot of diversity in thought and background of students. OOS students love it and are plentiful. People come from all over (mainly California) for the great skiing, social scene and of course academics.

Some of the Colorado kids go home on weekends but there is no shortage of out of state students and Colorado students who stay on campus. You can always find something to do.
