I’m a PSEO student at the U- a state funded duel enrollment program- and I have to say that it was the best decision of my life. ansrox, you won’t feel out of place as an international student, the U has one of the largest international programs in the country.
Everyone is really, really friendly and you won’t have any problems making friends as long as you put yourself out there! Welcome week is a great way to get to know people, and it’s a good idea to make friends in your classes, too.
The dorms are alright… nothing to write home about but they’re livable. The area that they show on tours smells like mold and has really poor lighting. If you’re looking for traditional dorms as opposed to the “apartment-style” dorms that have become more popular, I’d recommend Comstock. It doesn’t smell, the accommodations are fairly nice, and it’s right behind CMU which means that you’re 5 minutes from almost everything.

Hope this helps, congrats on choosing the U!

hey thanks ditto!
i really appreciate it.guess that helped lowering the anxiety levels.
go UMN

I have friends that do PSEO over there and I take 2 classes through the U. It’s quite nice But it’s like, huge.

The social life over there is good You’ll have a lot of fun. People over there are generally friendly…as are most ppl in MN.

PM me if you have more questions :)
