I know Wake Forest is a very athletic school but do non-athletes fit in too?

I've been a resident of Winston-Salem for 18 years now, and I gotta say I would hate to attend college in this town. I'll be heading to UNC next year to escape Winston. While I'm sure the fact I've lived here for so long and experienced most it has to offer is responsible to a certain degree, I still feel like things are absolutely dead around here as far as activities off campus in the city. There are a few clubs and Ziggy's has some really good shows come through but other than that there really isn't a whole lot outside of going to Borders bookstore. If your interested in Outdoor activities, decent skiing is only around 2 hrs away in Boone. I know this really isn't answering what you asked but I just felt the need to voice my opinions since I did briefly consider WF. I will say take this with a grain of salt, I have several class mates who will be attending next year so I suppose its all a matter of opinion and perspective. PM me if you have any questions about the area, Good Luck!

I lived in Winston for two years. I never went to Wake, so I can't say anything about the school itself...but as far as Winston Salem goes, I can only advise you to run in the opposite direction as fast as your legs will carry you.

Non-athletes definitely fit in here.
