Ha! I got rid of cable years ago, so haven’t watched that one. But it seems all these channels that started out with something interesting have morphed into something else. “Bravo” started out as fine arts; now it’s all Real Housewives of whereever. Someone I know called the History Channel the Hitler Channel, since every other program was WW2. And I stopped watching Animal Planet when it became Shark TV (don’t know what they’re up to these days).
After seeing an episode of a Netflix show that focused on plastic recycling, particularly grocery bags, I really did have a life change. The images of plastics and plastic bags shipped overseas to small villages and taking over their water source (creek, where they drink, bathe) really struck me. I got my use of plastic grocery bags down to zero and obsessively recycle (properly…according to my research) any bags or stretch plastic that comes in the house.
I love HGTV - all of it…every show. The love of my life calls it “the most expensive channel we’ve ever subscribed to!” D & I can spend hours watching House Hunters International, and fantasizing over every city.
Before I ever knew about HGTV, I would buy decorating magazines. My H would say "Is this $5 magazine going to cost us $1500?
Oops, already told that story and even increased the amount of potential money DH was worried about! Anyway, you get the gist.
My favorite HGTV shows right now are Celebrity IOU and Home Town. I like that young couple from Laurel, Mississippi.
