Hi guys, I'm not really sure where to post this, but since it relates to high school I shall post it here :)

I have a serious decision to make that can potentially change my high school life/grade/college options.

I have to decide if I want to move to Dubai with my mom, since she works there, or stay in Canada and finish high school here. The problem is, next year, when I am in grade 11, I will start my IB diploma courses. The reason I don't mind moving is because our current IB Coordinator is leaving, and a new person is replacing him here. I am afraid the new teacher would lack experience in coordinating everything. My school has been an established school for over 10 years.

However, next year, I would also have the opportunity to go to New York with my high school band to compete and have fun. I have been excited about this trip since grade 9, and I would love to go for the experience. The other problem is, next year, I would also have the opportunity to go to a poverty-stricken country to minister to children. It is the outreach program in our school and I was really looking forward to it, because I anticipate that it would be an amazing opportunity to share the work of God and definitely experience living in a third world country. I always thought that admin officers would like to see students who have traveled around and helped people.

If I do move to Dubai, I would probably go to a new school, like a school that had their first graduating class last year, and only 2 years of IB introduced. I'm not really sure if I should go, because I am afraid the education would not be as good as the one I am getting now, and that would seriously affect my future University options. The only good I see out of moving to Dubai is that I can write about how I adapt to changes quickly and I am willing to try new things?

I'm sorry for this super long post, but I really need the insight of you brilliant CCers and help me come to a decision. I really hope you guys can read and advice me on what to do.
