I ask this b/c I got a likely letter to Chapel Hill.... so where do I stand with Duke or is there no comparison????</p>

<p>My guess is that they are comparable on a percent admit basis but that the OOS applicant pool at UNC-CH is less top skewed. I.e., kids are more aware that it takes great stats to get into Duke s.t. they don't apply.</p>
<p>A second guess is that the effect of this is that good stats would get one into UNC-CH but that Duke would require the same stats plus excellent everything else, EC's and recommendations and so on.</p>
<p>Did you get money from UNC-CH? This would be an indication that they thought that they might lose you to Duke?</p>

Money info from UNC-CH is coming later on if I get any that is. The thing was, since I heard that admissions to UNC-CH OOS was supposed to be really hard and I got a likely letter from them, I was trying to determine what kind of boat that put me on for other colleges.</p>
