<p>How much weight do they hold on apps? It seems like just having great scores and EC's and awards isn't enough if you don't stick out to the admissions officers this year. My stats are decent (the only thing that has changed is that I'm planning on going the pre-law route with a related major) but will definitely seem like every other person's that are applying to my dream school (Columbia).</p>
<p>Here are random things that make me stick out... What should I actually include in my essay and do you think these might somehow squeeze me through? </p>
<p>Not that it might matter but eventually I'm hoping to go into corporate or international law (hopefully a combination of both)</p>

-Born in Sweden and EU national, lived there for 6 years
-Lived in India for 2 years
-trilingual, not counting Spanish class, can also read Arabic </p>
<p>I know these aren't deciding factors but it seems like every top college wants to create that diverse and unique class. </p>
<p>If not these, then what kind of experience do really make that difference?</p>
