hey everyone...I know Stern is a difficult school and quite competitive, not only to get into but once you are in as well. I would really love to hear some insight from Stern students or other NYU students about Stern's enviroment. Is it really THAT cut-throat? Do Stern students have a social life or are they often swamped in work..any little bit of info helps. Thanks everyone!

hey i go to stern right now, its not "cut-throat" or overly competitive and yes, we have an amazing social life in the city... work's not bad at all, and im confident that if youre qualified for stern you'll really have no trouble handling it at all with plenty of leisure time to spare, hope that helps

Thanks nyrock, that def. helps. I got into Stern early but now im just worrying about doing well once im there haha..my sister goes to NYU and is in CAS and has been scaring me with Stern horror stories.

yea u'll be fine, its a little more than high school, but nyu gives you so much free time and so few classes (4 a semester for freshman usually which each meet twice a week) that you'd have to be absolutely horrific with time management to get stressed out and pressed for time.. plus most get fridays off, so those 3 day weekends cant hurt either.. see u next fall
