@JustSurviving I think there are 2 different issues here–one is whether it makes economic sense for you to complete your degree at your current school vs. transfer. The other is your emotional/mental state right now–which comes off as anxious bordering on frantic, possibly the sign of a mental health issue. I think if you can get help with your mental health it will then give you the ability to approach the first question more rationally and calmly so you can make a wise decision. Please take care of yourself…
Get help with mental health. Your first post sounds more than overreacting. I wouldn’t mention these things lightly.
@JustSurviving - I PM’d you.
Wait a couple hours before operating heavy machinery OP. That was unintelligible, I could not follow the plot.
- What college is this?
- Is this a private not for profit college?
- Are you about to graduate? When? In december? May?
Are you worried that your college’s chemistry program is not considered rigorous enough for PhD programs? and that it is also not respected by industry?
Are you interested in graduate school? Have you done any research as an undergraduate?
Look on your college’s career site. They will have the results of a survey of where students from your college have gone to after college. Look what companies and what grad schools they have gone to.
Talk to someone else at your school…is there a Chemistry professor you respect?. Talk to them about PhD chances for you if that is what you want to do.
