What do you do in this class? Is it just like Biology? Is it difficult?

didnt i already tell you to stop asking so many questions? you don’t even go here yet. you will not want to take ls1 ur first quarter either. get a grip

Way to be a d0uche man. Thanks for the info though.

Ok don’t take it your first quarter. But when you do take it, its basically like biology. Not really anatomy and that stuff. More like cells, plants, evolution, ecology, and other stuff like that. It’s a ton of memorization, which is what makes it hard (unless you are good at memorizing all that stuff)

Alright thanks.

Have you taken AP bio? Lots is similar to the whole evolutionary tree memorization thing

I took it my first quarter along with chem14A and i did fine in both. LS1 isn’t too bad if you put the effort into memorizing the mountain of absolutely useless information. One of the many classes where your grade is purely determined by the amount of work you put into studying.

Well frankly, I’d take 2+ chem classes a quarter over LS ANY DAY. My average for LS 1 Midterm 1 was 80%. Ha ha ha. . .

I’m taking it right now with Halpin.

Yes, you go over evolution and ecology. For our most recent midterm we were tested in the entire phylogeny tree of bacteria, archaea, and eurkarya (minus animals).

It’s a lot of memorization, and very much like AP Bio. People take LS1 at the beginning or end of the LS series, so there’s usually first, second, AND third years in the class. It’s pretty competitive. There are no curves because everyone does so well on the tests.

Don’t take it your first quarter. You definitely want to get used to the quarter system and taking chemistry (lulz) at the same time as LS.
