Life science 3 is now only 4 units and it says ls2 and 23l are pre-reqs. What is 23l???

On a side note: ONce again i have royally f*****d by my pass so i am going to scratch physics 6a off of my list of classes for the fall. I want to take chem 20l, chem 30b, ls 1 or 3, and maybe spanish? I am going to use my first pass on chem 20l what other class should i choose?

So i called up the LS department and they said that LS2 and LS3 are being changed starting winter quarter 2011. They’re changing in the sense that they will now be 5 units, and no longer have lab attachments. Instead, students will have to take 23L, a 2 unit lab class, to fulfill the lab portions that were taken out.

Thanks for the replies! Why did the life science department do this. I think it is stupid. I’m taking ls 2 this summer and the only other ls3 spot that i could possible fit in my schedule is already full. Obviously since they are changing up the life science curriculum this class is going to fill up fast so people don’t have to take an extra class. I can’t believe they are only giving one quarter as a transition period…
