LIFE's new "Remembering Katharine Hepburn" is worth the price

BMC comes up a few times in this new TIME Special – and I love the cover!

For sure, I will never forget shaking her hand and hearing her speak in '73.

[Bringing Up Baby - Trailer (1938) - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9uUJQRzh4k) – a fun trailer – enjoy!

Oops, I meant LIFE (Time Inc.) Special. [LIFE: Katharine Hepburn Commemorative: Life Magazine: 9781932273151: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/LIFE-Katharine-Commemorative-Life-Magazine/dp/1932273158) This is a hard-bound edition.

I bought my magazine-style “Remembering Katharine Hepburn” for $12.99 at a local grocery store…

p. 72 from “Remembering Kate” –

“All I can say is. I could never be anyone else. I don’t want to be anyone else, and I’ve never regretted what I’ve done in my life even though I’ve had my nose broken a few times doing it.” (Sounds like a Mawrtyr to me!!!)

BMC has its flaws, for sure, but it’s still an absolutely wonderful place to live and learn for four precious years!

P.S. My two favorite BMC college presidents were Senator Harris Wofford and Mary Pat McPherson. Got to know them personally – Mary Pat was my freshman dean and we traded books. The Woffords were also great! They were the kind of people who stopped to chat when you were on your way to class…

Ottoloine: my daughter will be starting at Bryn Mawr in the fall. If she develops that attitude in the quote you describe, I will be forever grateful the the college!

Ottoline: my daughter will be starting at Bryn Mawr in the fall. If she develops that attitude in the quote you describe, I will be forever grateful to the college!

Drmom123 – Sounds to me like she’s well on her way – the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree, and you sound wonderful!

P.S. Around this time, summer of 1970, I was an"earlybird" – starting to pack my favorite books, records, posters – getting as ready as I could for a very big change in my life. Humor helped me get through my moments of stress … my father called the absolute best Seven Sisters college: “Bring More – Bring More Money!”

Thank you Ottoline for your nice comments. I will also keep an eye on what your father would say!! – although that sentiment could be said for most schools, these days!
