Lightweight women's crew?

My dd is a junior and will graduate 2014. Looking into colleges with a lightweight rowing program. She is 5'5" and 120lb. Just started rowing in September. GPA 3.7 with some AP classes.

She would like to be an active rower in college. Which colleges do you suggest? Her times aren't great (yet) but she is determined and a hard worker. She was previously a ballerina.

Thanks for any advice!!!

It’s all about the erg times.

Take a look at the University of Tulsa. Coach Kevin Harris is a great guy who is in the process of building a highly competitive lightweight team. It’s a Division I program at a small school (about 3000 undergrads) which is very strong academically. They were 3rd in college team points at Head of the Hooch where their ltw8 and ltw4 both took gold. Here’s the link to their website: [Tulsa Official Athletic Site - Women’s Rowing](http://www.tulsahurricane.com/sports/w-rowing/tuls-w-rowing-body.html)

mama, She needs to go to a rowing camp this summer. check out SEJ (southeast juniors). This is where you discover if you really like rowing, meet coaches, get training from great coaches & make great rowing friends and go to Club Nats.
