Are there any GPA Cutoffs for admissions to USNA. I am curious, if a 3.5 GPA coming in from another college is good for academy standards. I am an international student from Ghana studying at a different college, and I want to know the necessary GPA CUTOFFS.
BY THE END OF THIS SEMESTER MY GPA WILL HOPEFULLY RISE FROM A 3.3 TO A 3.5 OR A 3.6. MY EC'S ARE:
SCHOOL JOB-(AT THE SCHOOL UNION)
SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE
INTRAMURAL AND CLUB SOCCER
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION TREASURER
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CLUB
PLEASE HELP.

There is no definite GPA cutoff..the Academy would like you to have around a 3.5 or higher coming into here. It also depends on what college you go to. If you are getting a 3.5 at like Yale thats a good sign, but if you are trying to get a 3.5 at some community college with no reputation, its going to be alot harder. If you are an international student, that is a whole other situation. You have to get that approved through your country and THEIR government because it involves international agreements and the like (my roommates if from eastern europe thats how I know). If you are not an American citizen, and you do not have this international agreement, you wont even be considered.

IT is not a community college but it is a university in wisconsin, which has a good business program in the state.

Imatnavy's reply is spot-on.

I had the exchange student from South Korea as my roomate Plebe Year.

HIS commitment after graduation was TWENTY YEARS!

Well, you might have good grades, and a good college, and good extras, but you wont get anywhere without an agreement from your country so I would go through them first.

I'm from Wisconsin. What University are you attending? I can then give you some insight into where you stand?
