Likelihood of Being Rescinded at Yale for a Second Semester C?

I was accepted to Yale SCEA. My first semester grades were fine but I am worried that I might get a C in one of my AP classes this spring. Still expect to pull it out on the final but just assessing my risk. I have a reasonable explanation based on an illness for both class midterms but I would rather not go there. All my other classes are As and Bs. Do I have a chance of being rescinded, deferred a year or receiving a warning letter as a result?

Anyone with real experience with a second semester high school C that then went on to Yale? Thank you.

Not likely.

A ‘C’ is fine just do not get a ‘D’.

if i were u i would try my absolute hardest just in case; with yale you never know

Yale will not rescind you for a single C.

Does anyone have a real world experience as a student, counselor, admissions officer or parent that speaks to this issue?

Try the Yale Admissions office. They are the only real world source that matters on this issue

Yes, call the office! They will be glad to help you. Don’t rely on strangers on the internet for such a specific question.

What are the chances of a student with all A’s and one C on their senior second semester transcript getting rescinded??

Talk to your HS guidance counselor. In most cases high schools only send the year end grades to the colleges, so if that is a B you should be totally fine.

What if the FINAL grade on the transcript for an AP science class is a C?

A strong final exam has bailed me out from learning the answer to the question I posed! If I find a classmate with a first hand experience in the fall then I will post for the next cycle of anxious seniors.
