Hope all is well. I just got my PSAT score back → 1490 and its index → 223. I live in New York so would this be enough for NMSF next year? I looked up the selection index predictions but is 223 a pretty safe margin?

Only time any state’s cutoff has been above 223: Maryland, one time, in a very weird COVID year with gobs of alternate entries. Never say never, but a 223 is looking good.

223 is a great SI and is typically enough for any state (except as noted one time in the above post). While nothing is guaranteed, you should be fine.
