From a quasi-philosophical perspective, Stanford doesn't seem to be the type that sends likely letters out to promising non-athletic non-legacy applicants. My gut feeling is that they treat it more like a passing curiousity than a widespread practice. Do you feel your daughter will get a likely letter from Stanford too?</p>
