Where are some of you located so the reat of us can get a feel for where the mail is. I’m not expecting one but id like to know some people from california got one so I can give up hope. This is the last possible school for me to get a likely and boy would it be nice to get some stress off my back as I’ve gotten none and it makes me feel inadequate that no schools are feeling the collegeguyyeah-love.

I received an early acceptance today as well.

@collegeguyyeah I live in MA and got it today :)

OH MY GOSH!!! I got one today, out of the blue! So excited.

I got mine today! I’m on cloud 999 right now, especially considering that my interview didn’t go so well. Congratulations to all who have received Early Writes! To those who haven’t, please don’t take this as an omen. As stated before, the vast majority of ACCEPTED students don’t get Early Writes and the reasons for receiving one vary.

I’m surprised. My essay was mediocre, I had no interview, and I applied last minute with the mailed fee waiver/deadline extension.
Very happy, though.

I heard back today. Asian from Colorado.

Echoing what another poster asked, has any international applicant received an early write?

Hoping I might have one when I get home next week…

I’m an Indian-American from PA and I got one. My stats are at ■■■■■■/ChanceMe. Basically, I haven’t really gotten into any other non-public schools yet and I’m surprised (but overjoyed!) that Swarthmore chose me for an early write. I’m definitely going to Swat, unless I get into Princeton or Columbia, in which case I’ll have a tough choice between Swat and those two.
If you didn’t get a letter, I really wouldn’t be worried. The last kid from my school to get in did so 4 years ago and he didn’t get an early write. I’m really looking forward to Ride the Tide though!

I’ve been away from home and got the e-mail about Ride the Tide so I was totally puzzled since there was no acceptance e-mail. I got home and found the letter today! It’s now on my fridge. Congrats everyone. :)

I’m out of the country for Spring Break, but I just received an e-mail from Swarthmore regrading Ride the Tide.

“We would like to once again congratulate you on your recent admission to Swarthmores Class of 2016 and invite you to join us for Ride the Tide, Swarthmores Admitted Students Program.”

I guess I got admitted?

Wooot wooot!

So, I take it that if we didn’t receive this email we haven’t been accepted? :(

kameronsmith, from what I gather in the email, I believe this email was only sent to those who received early acceptance…if I’m right, hang in there, there is still hope…good luck

I meant early acceptance—I haven’t been able to check my regular mail since early writes went out. Was just hoping that I’d receive an early write.

Honestly though, it’s not a huge concern for me since I already got a likely letter from Dartmouth, so won’t be left without options.

Just one question - was there any Financial Aid information in the envelopes? I’m just curious, since I have yet to open the envelope.

No, they will send us fin aid information along with the other regular decision admits later on this month.
