i just got a likely letter!!!!!!!

do internationals get likely letters???

Congratulations! That's awesome.

congrats guys :)

im still praying to get one for SEAS

Me too! Man, that would make my...year!
But, then again, I would probably go into total senioritis mode...

I'm hoping for one....are they all through email? why are some email/some letter?

Wow I got one to my complete shock and dismay.
to be honest, i applied here as a humongous reach.. and if i get accepted (which i doubt), i probably wont be going anyways

I'm a little surprised by these likely letters. Applied ED got deferred. 2300, 800/720/780, 760 Lit, 750 Math II, seemed strong candidate, great ECs and recommendations, number two in my class, but no likely letter now? I heard they took like nobody ED cuz of Harvard and Princeton, so I'm wondering if any deferrals got likely letters?

dembo45: It is highly doubtful that deferrals get likely letters. If you warranted a likely letter, they would have accepted you during ED.

Did anyone else get this email?

^ ***? Was this supposed to be a joke? They haven't sent any decision letters yet, and anyways, this doesn't sound like a rejection letter at all.

Hot damn, they didn't give EDers a bookstore discount!

(Yeah but really...is that a joke?)

OMG, would they actually do that? This can't possibly be real, can it? I've heard of likely letters, but not of rejection letters this early.

wait, phone calls - such as phone interviews? i had them offer me one but, i had already had an alumni interview. i hope that's what you mean - omg, i want to go there very very much.

It is possible for those who were deferred to get likely letters =] I got deferred ED in December and I received a likely letter.

Blaster: When did you get the likely letter?

That "rejection email" sounds like a scam. Are you really sure it came from Columbia, or are you just kidding?

If any of you bothered to read the e-mail, it is addressed to those applying for transfer only.

Mikesown: I received the likely letter on Monday

Can anyone possibly copy the text of the emails/letters here?
