Today in the mail I recieved a handwritten postcard from what it says is the "african american recruiter" at Northwestern. Anyways the letter is asking how I am doing and says that they have recieved my application and says that they were "very impressed" with it..goes on to say to relax and continue to work hard the remainder of my senior year. May this be a likely letter???

I would say so.

If there ever was a likely letter, that is it.

I would say that this is a "likely letter" of some sort because, why else would they send you something saying that they are "very impressed" with your application? If I were you, I wouldn't be surprised to see an official acceptance letter from Northwestern.

That letter screams "you are accepted".

my friend (now in college) got the same thing ('very impressed') and come april she was no doubt accepted. she doesn't go there now but im sure that means you're in!

I got a likely letter too!!! holy god!!!!!

btw, i am african american.

was it like a postcard?

yeah, it was a postcard from "Kenneth Hutchinson, Co-coordinator of African American Recruitment"

did you participate in LEAD?

i don't even know what "LEAD" is...
