Got a likely letter a few weeks ago.
Was able to made an account on URSA last night.
Today, able to log into URSA, but no access to any of its pages.
"Successfully logged in" to MyUCLA, but no access as well.

Would they rescind an admission decision over this? :O
Sure, its a small issue. But imagine the people over at the admissions office right now. A flood of log-in and UCLA ID registration attempts. They must be fuming and scrambling to close all the gates! haha.

Still... None of this would be happening if they weren't so discrete! Is there anything so wrong with letting applicants know the exact decision date?

By no access, do you mean, "You do not currently have access to MyUCLA. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you are receiving this message in error, please contact our Help Desk at 310-206-4525 or by email at MyUCLA@college.ucla.edu. "?

It is not in any way snobbery for them to not specify an exact date for their admission decisions. First of all, as someone already mentioned, the number of people that would check their results at the same time would possibly lag their servers to the point where no one could check it or the server itself might go down. Second, they don’t give an exact date because if they did, and something unexpected came up, taking them a couple days longer to release the results, people would go crazy. They would get calls from so many applicants that it would just slow down the process even more.
