Hey, I've just received a likely letter in the mail today^^ so awesome. Cornell also mentioned something about the Tanner Dean's Scholar. I am an international asking for huge financial aid. Is Cornell need-blind this year? Anybody on the same boat? I am so happy now. Have never expected to receive a likely so late.

Cornell is need-blind admissions for international students, but they award finaid on a merit basis.

ax, on a merit basis ** so what is the prospect of receiving aid if an international gets accepted? T.T Anyway, Hi VNese fellow

Congrats! When did they send out your letter?

Hey thx DWADDET, it was sent on March 15th

does everyone receive this letter? T.T

No, not everyone receives this, and the Tanner Dean’s scholar is one of the scholarship programs available in Arts and Sciences

[Pauline and Irving Tanner Dean’s Scholars](http://as.cornell.edu/academics/opportunities/deansscholars/index.cfm)

The amount of money that comes with it is not large, but it helps.

I did. 10 char

@chendrix: sure it does, plus having a dean as your supervisor! Just feel lucky and happy to receive the letter ^^

I got it. I’m not sure about financial aid for international students though…
