Way to go cfc.

Tommorow is a new day and I’ll be looking for a golden ticket in the mail…

thanks UVAorBust- I think it’s a little premature to put “bust” on your location though :)

^agreed, way too premature.

cfcpauls,
In defense, UVAorBust has been on this forum for a long time, and is always supportive and congratulatory towards fellow students. I may have missed it, but personally I’ve never heard him snipe at another UVa hopeful, cutting down hope or their achievements as many people do here on CC. While a bit (okay a lot) overzealous at times, he’s come a long way. There was a point where he wasn’t willing to even look at other schools.

Accept his congratulations as sincere and cut him some slack. You may think his username is premature, but really…you just got a letter 20k+ students would love to get. Enjoy the relief and well deserved recognition. I’m sure you’ll be very successful at whatever university you choose to attend.

Best of luck, and congratulations.

tomorrow could be the best day ever (mac miller) or just another normal day

blueiguana I think they were referring to the fact that UVaorBust had changed his location and given up on getting into UVa. Previously, he had it as ‘UVa-hopefully’ (or something to that effect) and now it is ‘Bust’. They actually were telling him not to give up hope yet and it was premature of him to think he was not going to get into UVa. They were being supportive of him. It was kind of you to defend him though, he definitely has been on this forum for awhile and truly wants to go to UVa as we all have seen over the past almost year.

@blueiguana

you misinterpreted what cfc was saying

cfc was saying that UVA put his location as bust, and that saying bust ie. his getting denied to UVA is a premature conclusion , cfc is giving UVAorBust hope in saying he still has a chance to not “bust” or be denied to UVA

Hopefully we all are accepted,

thanks bigshot/woosah- that was indeed what I intended to convey (and certainly didn’t intend any offense)
I’m certainly grateful for the likely letter and appreciate the congratulations, but I’m certain UVAorBust and everyone else is equally qualified for UVA and hopefully that’ll be reflected soon. Good luck to you all

Blueiguana, as all ways I love your support. But they were refering to my location, which I recently changed to “Bust '15”. I have reason for changing it to that, and it wasn’t a whim. Hopefully both me and your son get in :D

As for likely letters, today is a new day! Letters should be hitting NY today for sure.
