Likely Letter!

Yes, they are at "top of the crop"

But I mean just the general applicant, not likelies.

The general applicant is of the Penn/Dartmouth level.

Globber: weren't you a tasper? the tasp thread is too long for me to read but i remember seeing your name.

globber, when did u receive ur likely letter?

what the heck is a tasper?

someone who attended the Telluride Association Summer Program

can you check your likely letter online in my D?

Its not on there.

too bad harvard didn't think along the same lines as you guys - i was deferred haha.

No, Duke doesn't show likely letters on D. They mail it.

Is there a TASP program for Duke? What is it exactly?

Funny story: I was browsing this forum and came across this thread and remembered my unopened college letter pile that had one from Duke in there. I haven't been opening them lately (due to the fact that there's usually nothing important and I'm sups lazy) and I found one.

And, in response to question if Duke is on the same caliber as Wash U or Harvard --- I'd say in between. I got deferred from Harvard, and got onto this list. I'm not sure where that puts me.

But it's definately cool.

Yea I got deferred from Stanford and I’m on the list too. Strange, since Duke is supposedly ranked higher. :D

college rankings surely are very subjective. if you look at admissions rates, duke is a little bit more lenient than a lot of the other ivies. penn is also the same way.

All likely letter recievers were valedictorians...at least on CC

I got a letter even though my school doesn't offiically rank...I wonder what other criteria they're using?

I wasn't valedictorian?

I got one, and I'm definitely not a valedictorian(GPA = around 3.8-ish)

ditto on daveed's post
