did anyone get a likely letter yet?

ahhh i wish... lets just pretend i did...

what has you daughter done that is outstanding?

my DD did last Friday. Doing the Bulldog Dance!!!

I didn't know they sent out likely letters to early applicants

yeah they do because of giving up money you could get from scholarship schools or in my case I guess they just sent one after they reviewed my app

wow, congrats

thanks!! i'm definitely very relieved

huh... i've never heard of such a thing!

elay you still haven't answered my question- what has she done that was outstanding.

I think all the likely letters at this time are going out to recruited athletes.

sorry my mom accidentally left that embarrassing post

wellll I play a sport, take some APs, do some ECs, play some instruments-you know, stuff like that

only recruited athletes get likely letters. or at least thats what ive heard. one girl at my school got one from brown

o ok that's cool. congratz elay! what sport?

A football recruit from my HS got a letter. Other EAers are pretty ****ed ...

A guy I know got a likely letter last year (RD) and he didn't play any sports.

what's a likely letter? sorry, i'm new at these things.

farseer0514- Ya, I know likely letters are sent RD when a person has done very outstanding things for his/her community, but I had never heard it happening for EA. The recruiting explanation makes senes though.

A likely letter is sent from the admissions counselors which basically says that you have an unusually high chance of being admitted to the college. It's like saying you're in, for some reason, ahead of time.

I've never heard of it for EA/ED, either, except for athletes. What does the letter say, elay?

i just got the one for athletes that says they reviewed my app and it got a "likely" rating
