Likely letters are pretty rare, IIRC, so chill out guys! I feel kind of bad now. And some of my acquaintances also applied to Brown, haven't heard back yet, and I get the feeling there will be jealousy/bitterosity going on; I cannot WAIT until they get into college so this stupid competition is over.

Decisions are coming in less than two weeks! Again, good luck, and don't stress too much!

My son received a likely. He is not an athlete. I am very proud! Especially after reading this thread. Dated March 8, don't have the envelope to read the post mark.

lingbo, you have absolutely no reason to feel bad about posting your likely. for one, people had been asking if brown sends out likely's to non-athletes, so now we know the answer to that question. for another, it's just nice to know when brown mails any piece of mail to applicants (or gives decision times!) thank you for posting your status!

Haha I also got a likely letter, but I thought Brown didn't send them out too. I'm still kind of surprised that I got it, especially since I don't consider myself an athlete, and I'm Asian. I founded the ultimate team at my school though, do you think that was what put me over?

OMG that letter was so mean before (i forget who had it.) the one about underachievement. I find it hard to believe that's "exactly" what they said...i mean "crappier?" lol. That would be probably the harshest letter form a college. I'm sorry though! I feel your pain i'm going to be rejected too i know it..not good enough :(
