Likely letter?

Has anyone received an email from the department you applied to at JHU?

Mine started with: "The admissions office has notified me that you have submitted a particularly strong application, and that you were interested in our department.."

In the body the professor kept repeating "if everything works out" (referring to my admissions decision), but I am hopeful nonetheless. If this is standard admissions contact emails, I'm gonna be mad.

I believe that's a really great sign!!! Good Luck!

sure sounds like a likely! congrats. when did you get the email? nope, i personally didn't receive one.

I didnt receive one either but I would say that u are in

That sounds like a likely letter to me! I don't think they'd bother communicating with likely rejects! I'd say you're probably in (not definite, though, because it didn't come directly to you from admissions). I received a similar e-mail from U Chicago a while back, and I considered it a good sign. I haven't heard from JHU, though. Congrats! :)

well, you're definitely in. but if you don't mind my asking, which department did you recieve that from? i wonder if only that department (or only some) send out letters like that.

i would be interested to know as well.

congrats boethian.. ur in! i didnt get one.

boethian.. r u a domestic or international applicant?

humanities dept, domestic applicant
