I got a likely letter as well and I'm caucasian, so I don't know about the multi-cultural hypothesis. I'm also not an athlete (I'm going to try to walk onto the track team, but my ability as of now is not near what Penn looks for in recruits, so I doubt that helped).

hey, can you please post what exactly that likely letter says????????

didnt get one yet :( im hoping!! congrats to all those who did. come on on penn.. i love you hhaa gimme a letter lol

i received a likely letter as well. I am not an athlete either.

Did anyone who applied to Wharton get one of these likely letters? Because so far all the people on this thread have said they applied to the College.

seriously, there should be a whole different "wharton" thread for every topic.

lol. Wharton is alot more competitive than the rest of U Penn. It's funny, kids think going to U Penn and taking classes at Wharton means the same as getting into Wharton but a short-cut. Anyone here know which is much stronger than the other or did I just answer my own question?

i got a likely and i applied to wharton

this must be an incredibly stupid question but, what are we supposed to do if we get a likely letter?? do they send them out to see who demonstrates interest? are we supposed to call or do anything besides attend the program we were invited to? and if we cant attend the program, do they take it as a sign that you're not really interested?? lol. i dont want to b in the 2% that got a likely letter and were denied in april
