I'd like to think I have a few hooks. Where's my call :(

Oh yeah... they haven't processed my recs yet...

I'd like to think I have a few hooks. Where's my call :(

Oh yeah... they haven't processed my recs yet...

Mal77, I'm holding out that they haven't called me because one of my recs was missing (until I faxed it today). They're thinking, "As soon as we get his second recommendation, we're going to send pswib a likely."

Yeah... they must have lost my phone number, that's all... I'm sure they would've called by now... :o

haha. i'm so happy for you. congrats!

Congrats Sunshineyday! For those asking, Sunshineyday posted stats on the Official SCEA Decision post in December. Very happy for you! Go Bulldogs!

"Ethnicity: Not telling" <-- That's it right there ;)

hahah nice one archer

Nevermind.

Interesting, sunshineyday's "unique situation" must have been truly fascinating.
Congrats!
But I might just hate you. A lot :)

AGH. I wish you were me. Or I were you. Or I just got a likely letter cause I actually like myself, and I kinda don't want to be someone else. But I do want to be in your situation. sigh

CONGRATS! :)

I don't wanna sound mean...but there are a lot of amazing applicants on CC...

why hasn't anyone else on CC gotten a phone call?"

If it alleviates your concerns, I just got a call from my Yale admissions counselor letting me know I would receive a likely letter. (Woo-hoo!) I'm kind of glad I didn't know about it before, because I would have had plenty of opportunity to worry.

For those of you who are curious, here is the link to my stats page for my Early Action application to UChicago: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-chicago/612043-official-university-chicago-ea-decisions-class-2013-a-7.html#post1061467526

^ lolz. If anyone deserves it, you do! Congrats!

Why in the world would they defer you, then send you a letter that puts you among the top like 1% of applicants? Argh, I will never understand the Ivies admission process.

Congrats though!

SIVster, you remind me of the best Quiz Bowler in my state--he has a 2400 too! Haha. I bet you know each other.

That's actually not unlikely; what state is it?

wow, receiving a likely letter must be like a dream come true.
i'm an international who got deferred but my interviewer told me mine was a high priority interview if that means anything.
yale didnt accept anyone from my country early this year. some people say its because all ea acceptees last year went to other schools later on.
but...you never know.
