Likely Letter?

Hi everybody, I got a letter from Northeastern today and I'm a little bit unsure as to whether or not it is a likely letter. The first paragraph reads as follows:
"Congratulations on your exceptional high school achievements. Given this exemplary record, I believe you would be a great fit at Northeastern University."
The last paragraph reads:
"Again, congratulations on your accomplishments. We believe you will be an asset to our community, and we look forward to reviewing your application. [Contact Information]".

Any input?

We must have “cross-posted.” My son recieved the same letter today and I was wondering the same thing???

It does not sound like a likely letter since it says it “looks forward to reviewing your application”. I always thought likely letters to mean they have reviewed your transcripts and application and therefor are informing you of that you arelikely to receive an acceptance letter.
That letter sound more like a form letter reminding a student to apply,.

when did you all get this email? or was it a letter?
and can you post stats please

asya800, I received a letter in the mail earlier today.

My stats are:
QPA: 91.4 (out of 100, school doesn’t weight or rank)
All classes considered honor or AP (Magnet school)

SAT: 2380, 800 CR 780 M 800 W (one sitting)
SATII: 710 Chem, 720 Lit, 800 Math II

Decent EC’s.

With your stats, your admissions decision isn’t exactly a mystery. You will be accepted.

And yes, this is a typical form letter that a variety of schools send to indicate that you are likely to be admitted and that they want you to remain interested in their school.

Dang, you’re one smart cookie (sorry, I couldn’t help myself). This is exciting, my first (and probably only) likely letter. Sweet.

Dude, amazing stats. You’ll get a gigantic scholarship, and get into other top unis.

I got the same exact letter.
I thought it was an acceptance letter at first. Oops.

i think they just send to interested students
