I got a letter in the mail yesterday stating that my application was a joy to read and that I should keep MoHo at the top of my list because I'm on the top of theirs or something like that. Did anyone else get one? And does this mean I've been accepted, with a possible scholarship?

Congrats! IMO, it means you’re accepted/ it’s a likely.

When was the letter dated, if you don’t mind me asking? I haven’t gotten one, but I live further away from MoHo.

It sounds like a provisional acceptance, congratulations! Don’t know about scholarship though, does MHC give merit scholarships or is it just need based? I don’t remember. I guess you’ll have to wait until the official decision comes in.

Well done!! :D

Thank you! I was rather surprised since I don’t see myself as a top applicant.
The letter was dated March 2nd. There are a few merit based scholarships I believe.

I got the same letter, and like you, I was surprised because I didn’t see myself as a top applicant. But Mount Holyoke is my top choice, so I’m very happy. I hope it means I have a good chance of getting one of their merit scholarships.

Mine was also dated March 2nd, but I live on the West Coast, so kiterunner18, you may receive one very soon.

I got one as well two ish weeks ago! It was quite cute with the whole “this is one of THOSE letters, but we really want you” kind of thing. Mine was dated Feb. 19. Nice surprise.
Congrats to y’all too!

My D got one, dated March 2 I think. We never visited by we will in about a week.
Any that will likely attend or are you waiting for FA letters?

i got one too, dated february 19th. also got a handwritten note on the letter. did anyone else get that?

hey do internationals get them too? and btw was it an e-mail or regular mail only?

yep. mine had a handwritten note.

snail mail, not email.

i don’t think i will get it…but that won’t stop me from frantically checking my mailbox:D

Mine had the handwritten note too.
I’m going through a rather complicated FA process with MoHo. I guess I would say I’m somewhat likely to attend.

Last spring D got a likely letter from MHC, then acceptance came about 2 weeks later (online, then later in the mail)

Good luck to all!

I got the letter too - “you’re at the top of our list”. And I am an international student, jezda3, so it’s possible you’ll get one too.
Mount Holyoke is kind of my safety school because of its high acceptance rate, but I loved everything about it when I visited. Seriously - my interview went for an hour and a half instead of half an hour!
I’m just wondering whether I should go to Amherst, Middlebury, or Brown (If I’m accepted) because they are better schools, or whether I should go to Mount Holyoke because I felt a real connection with the people and the campus.
Toughie!

Go to the place that you feel is the best fit for you, Picasso–even if that means a school a few spots down on the meaningless USNWR rankings.

I got one too! =)
I received it today, although it’s dated 2 March. (I’m an international)

Does that mean that I’m going to be receiving the FA that I asked for too? I asked for a lot and I was pleasantly surprised to see the letter. =)

Congratulations, Dancer! I’m an international too, so this gives me hope that I might get in as well Do you mind me asking your stats? I don’t mean to sound like a crazy stats-obsessed CCer, because I’m not. But I’m just curious.

I don’t know what it means for FA though… I hope you get it. I guess it means they’ll offer you something.

I also look forward to receiving one, too. But otherwise we will also find out soon, next week!!!

“But otherwise we will also find out soon, next week!!”
When do decisions come out (mail or email)?

I know Smith’s most likely come out on the 19th. Perhaps MoHo’s date is similar?
