<p>Today I received in the mail a letter from Duke, the first paragraph as follows:</p>

<p>Greetings from Duke University! I am delighted to tell you that the Admissions Committee has reviewed your application, and we want to share with you the good news you are one of a small group of particularly outstanding applications to Duke this year, a signal accomplishment in a pool of over 26,500 applicants. And while we will be mailing our decision letters quite soon, I wanted to give you an little bit of early good news that we fully expect to offer you admission at that point.</p>

<p>AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Anyone else get this?? I wasn't even expecting to get in, and to get a letter now is so great!</p>

<p>I got this today as well! I jumped and really scared my mom. Although, admittedly, that decisions were supposed to come out next week makes it not-as-exciting. Still really happy!</p>

<p>I got my deposit waived, so I haven’t already sent in a deposit to Chicago. What’s wrong with letting my other applications ride? I paid the app fee just like everyone else.</p>

<p>^Don’t worry. I honestly don’t see how Duke could reject you (I looked up your stats after I saw your Harvard interview thread). As well, good luck at the SLC for FBLA in April. You and your fellow FBLA members (the other people in FBLA at your school) are gonna need it ;).</p>

<p>^AHA you’re going to the SLC too?? good luck! our school is actually going to hershey park on sunday (wooo!!) so this year’s trip might actually be fun. you’ll see me during the “parade of presidents.” see if you can guess which one is me :wink: you can PM me your guess when we get back!</p>
