So I just got my likely letter tonight (applied to the College of Arts and Sciences) and am so excited! Who else got one and for which college?

Congratulations! I know I was never going to get a likely letter to Penn, but can you explain what exactly they are and how many people get them?

I got one too! College of Arts and Sciences as well. One of the best emails I’ve ever received…
As to what they are, mine at least was an email that told me to follow a link which brought me to a separate web page, which had a cheesy-but-wonderful video at the top with the dean of admissions saying I’d been selected as a likely candidate, and a message at the bottom basically repeating that as well as mentioning some visiting days for prospective students. The video also had some pretty standard-seeming recruitment fare after the message from the dean. I looked online and it said Penn sent out about 200 letters like this last year, so I figure it’s probably a similar number this year. So definitely not to worry if you didn’t get one.

I just got my snail mail package! (I live in Philadelphia.) It contained the same letter from the website and a booklet called Proudly Penn.

SO EXCITED.

I got mine by email to the Engineering School. Incredibly corny video, but awesome.
Does anyone know for sure how many were sent to non-athletes?

Same here! College of Arts and Sciences.

CAS as well!! Quite possibly the best email I’ve gotten. :)

congrats all of you. when did you get these?

6:02 PM yesterday for me.

we get snail mail versions of them too right? idk why, but i’ll feel so much more confident when i see an actual letter in my hands. lol
i got my email friday night, around 6, i think.

all those who got their letters… can you share your stats please…
