I just received the packet in the mail for likely admitted students. It has a copy of the letter that was emailed to me with a personal note on it (I am still trying to decipher the note :P), a letter from the financial aid office, a letter about Penn Preview Days, and a letter about attending Scholars Preview (which it says will be paid for by the university).

Do they send likely letters from the schools students targeted, Like Wharton,…, or from UPenn? Have any students from Asia received LL? If yes, pls indicate from where it hailed.

haha, i can’t decipher the first word of my note either

I think it’s “congrats!” lol

Damn you allllllllllllllllllllllll ![]()
I am dying of jealousy

^ Nooooooo, it doesn’t mean that at all. The vast majority (80-90%) of accepted regular-decision applicants do NOT receive a likely letter.

Has anyone received an email from admission office asking to explain more about one’s desire to get in Wharton?

Wow, that sounds like a good sign. I would think their only hesitation to admit you, if they sent you that email, is that it hasn’t come through clearly enough in your application, re: why you want Wharton. Seems to me you just have to give them a response that shows passion for Wharton that they will feel come through what you say, and you probably are in!! Good luck!!!

Thank you, splokey! I thought I explained it in Why Wharton. I think I need to get in more depth on that now. Haha Thank you for your advice!

I got an email asking for my math grades and an additional letter of reccomendation from my math teacher (applying to Wharton)
My regional director has been in contact with my counselor for months, so idk if that’s a good sign or not?

I also got a LL, but I am a liberal arts student. 2270 SAT Score, top 10, what I think are fairly good extracurriculars in my area of interest.
