<p>Does anybody know when colleges start sending out likely letters? I searched some old threads and some students started receiving them around Jan 28th.</p>
<p>The Ivy league schools’ window for Likely Letters is Oct 1 to March 15. How each school actually uses that time frame varies. Of course, some other schools use them as well. There’s no rhyme or reason to this so it’s worthless to analyze this. Also, the vast vast majority of admitted students never see a single one. Again, it’s worthless to try to figure out if you’re in line for a Likely Letter. </p>
<p>If you happen to be lucky enough to get one, great. If not, don’t lose a single second of sleep over it.</p>
