If you were one of the few lucky people that got a likely letter from Dartmouth, could you please post your stats for us?
thanks in advance

1600 SAT1, Very High 700s all SAT2s, 3.9GPA unweighted. Good ECs. Athlete (but not recruited)

1500/800/800/800 4.0 unweighted GPA. 10 AP classes through senior year. AP Scholar w/Honor, National Merit Semifinalist (now Finalist).

Really strong recs that extolled passion for learning, I think these were clutch.

Cello 7 years, piano 10 years, numerous solo performances in both (with orchestra). Played in orchestra for 4 years, lots of community service, lots of tutoring, several state-level type science awards.

This is just a skeleton. There is a significant amount of other stuff, but you get the general idea.

Okay..so basically the best applicants imaginable? That clears it up for me. Congrats you guys on not only getting in, but being nothing short of amazing! How do you do it?

Sorry ... I mistyped my SAT score. I'm actually a 1550.

And well ... I don't think I'm among the best applicants imaginable. In an Ivy League pool, after all, everyone has the same stats and the same extracurriculars, or at least that's what we're always told.

I definitely think I was just lucky, though, since I'm not this RSI kid who tracked X gene and discovered a new drug.

"In an Ivy League pool, after all, everyone has the same stats and the same extracurriculars, or at least that's what we're always told."

Well in that case I'm unique! Oh well, I'll stand out with my sub-1450.

I'm surprised... this is the first "stats" thread to pop up on this board for a very long time... that proves the Dartmouth CC'ers are different! :p

wow you guys are a lot better than i am :)

1560/800/790/790/780/770

okay ecs
okay essays

Jade: Your 1450 SAT puts you in the prime 50% range of all the Ivy schools. Best of luck.

Frankly, its a crap shoot unless you're an underpriveliged, disabled minority that runs an orphanage for abused children, with a 1600 SAT, all-american skills in football and basketball and a legacy; then you have a 99% chance.

yeah, their better than me too.

1530, 800 writing, 800 math IIC, 770 bio, 730 history, 5 in AP Bio and history, 2 more AP classes, good (yet unique) ecs

hey Caw3487 lol

okay, my stats:
1600/800/800/800

okay essays
good recs,
decent ECs. nothing amazing though

A disabled person with All-American level skills in football and basketball? Frankly I'd be afraid of meeting someone like that angry in a dark alley...

Jade Rain...did you ever see the movie "Armageddon?"

hahahahahahha

ETA: i'm not laughing randomly, i was laughing at Xanatos, but someone beat me lol
