Has anyone received a likely letter from Princeton? I got one from Dartmouth and an admission from Stanford. I also applied to Princeton, and was wondering if they even have that process and was wondering if anyone got it.

Probably athletes only so far.

Does Princeton send likely letters to QuestBridge applicants?

The window that the Ivies can issue Likely letters is Oct 1 to Mar 15 (about two weeks away). Since the bulk of admitees aren’t sent a LL, you’re really wasting time looking out for one.

I do not believe Princeton sends out likely letters to non-athletic recruits.

So the point of this thread was to brag about getting admission to Dartmouth and Stanford. Good job! Yawn.

■■■■■!!! :)

Ivyhopeful15: All ivies send out likely letters non-athletic recruits…
“An institution ordinarily may send a “likely” probabilistic communication
letter to a candidate (whether or not the applicant is a recruited athlete) only if
the applicant has submitted all of the materials which the institution requires in
order to make an admissions decision.” --from JOINT STATEMENT FOR CANDIDATES ON COMMON IVY GROUP ADMISSION PROCEDURE

I have heard numerous times that Princeton only sends both likely letters to recruited athletes and QB applicants.

Really? I’ve heard the exact opposite from nearly everyone…but believe what you wanna believe, maybe we will find out if I get one :P

If they haven’t sent the letter by now, you might as well just wait the thirty extra days. Exactly one month from now, we’ll either be shedding tears of joy or tears of another kind. Just wait it out; if you got in to Stanford, that alone raises your likelihood of getting into Princeton.
