congrats to you guys :)

Thank you for the warm comments; in turn, I congratulate those who have heard good things so far and encourage those who haven’t.

Between Brown and Columbia? Undecided. Overall? Undecided.

Congratulations, Silverturtle! May Yale also smile upon you! It’s good to have you back posting after an extended absence.

My son hasn’t heard anything from Brown yet, but he got two early acceptances this week from Williams and Amherst plus the $15k merit scholarship from UIUC, so we’re happy here, too. Still waiting for other results.

OMG How did I get a likely letter? WHAT IS GOING ON.

Does Brown send liklies to internationals?

@ InfinitelyBound: That’s exactly how I feel. When I applied, I thought Brown would be a stretch.

I received one too. I’m rather stunned, particularly because Brown has no history of taking people from my school. I feel bad because my best friend applied ED and got deferred. But anyways yeah, likely letter.

@infinitelybound, @gfmalblood

On what date did you guys get your likely letters?

Got mine Saturday the 12th I do believe.
Not 100% sure when it arrived though as we don’t check mail all that regularly

Aw poo. I think I’m just going to give up on that likely letter and focus on March 30th

^That is a good call. I think the window actually ends on March 15th. Plus, holding out on something that like <10% of admitted students get is setting yourself up for disappointment. You simply may not fit into the groups being targeted with likely letters.

I didn’t get one today.

Good. Now I can stop obsessing till March 30th.

Has anyone been accepted by all HYPMS without a likely letter?

Powerpuff: I’m sure it happens.

My son received his Brown likely letter yesterday, Mar 18. I was confused since they had just sent out an email to check status on Mar 30 online only and that they weren’t sending out letters. Exciting!

JordansMom - that is awesome! What a nice surprise this late in the game!

Congrats to your son and to you too!

Powerpuff: My friend was accepted to HYPS (didn’t apply to MIT) with no likely letters.

Thank you, we are excited!

Congratulations to your son!

Congrats ! They are sending likely letters so late this year.
