<p>Hey guys. I was just wondering if any alumni or maybe students currently attending upenn could help clarify when upenn will send likely letters and what exactly the likely letters mean. Thanks so much.</p>

Indeed. Per the DP article to which I linked, Penn sent out only 230 nonathletic “likely” letters last year, out of 2,789 RD admits.</p>
<p>That’s a keen observation. I do know that the deadline for LLs is Mar 15th. Perhaps Penn is going away from them?? The cited DP article certainly indicates they were used in 2012…</p>
<p>While they did send out likely letters pretty early last year (~Feb 17th), in 2011 I believe they were sent March 5th. I doubt that they did away with the LLs, and we’ll prob be hearing about people receiving them around this coming weekend. Who knows for sure though.</p>

<p>I got a likely letter from Duke University the other day, and invited to the BSAI program which I take it means I’ve been accepted to Duke. I got rejected from Stanford but UPENN is my NUMBER ONE!!! Would you guys think that a Duke Admit but a Stanford Reject has a likely chance to be admitted to Penn!!! </p>
<p>I literally stalk College Confidential everyday for Penn hoping to know when likely letters will be sent and hoping that I get one! I want to be at Wharton :)</p>

<p>haha lol I didn’t mean it like that! I am super excited about my acceptance and will probably attend just wanted to know if anyone could offer some insight into my current situation. I have so much anxiety about college admissions!</p>
