<p>They send out invitations to visit Vanderbilt and interview to scholarship candidates, and they have a minority weekend too. That's all I know of.</p>
<p>they do not do that like most ivy leagues do for a select few candidates.</p>

<p>I got a letter today that was just inviting me to the merit scholarship weekend... I wasn't expecting anything to come so early (I am an RD applicant), so it was a nice surprise... I guess I can assume I got in for sure? I didn't get an acceptance letter with it. Anybody know anything about the regular merit scholarship and interview weekend stuff?</p>

trance - I'm from Tennessee, actually. The letter was postmarked on the 20th - mail can get between Nashville and here pretty quickly. So I bet people are still getting letters.</p>
<p>i got a letter today saying i had won a $20,000 scholarship in addition to any financial aid i will recieve. it said that i was guaranteed admission but it didnt say that i had to come to interview ever. im in texas...oh and i applied RD. what is the merit scholarship weekend?</p>
