Likely rejection?

I was wondering if anyone thought that my SAT scores would be reason for a likely rejection from the following schools.

I'm applying for Transfer to Colgate and Cornell for the Fall 2008 semester.

I am currently a Freshman at NYU.

HS GPA: 3.55 uw
College GPA: 3.5 (first semester)
SATS: 600 V 620 Math 640 Writing
ECs:- Varsity Golf Team all four years of HS, captain the last two years
- Currently on NYU Golf team
- Did a pre-college summer program at Brown University in Medicine (I'm on a pre-med track)
- Certified and practicing EMT
- hospital volunteer all 4 years of HS and continue to volunteer at the hospital

why did you make a new thread? you basically asked the same thing on the thread right below this

They are pretty low for these schools. You're applying to transfer after freshman year, so that will put more emphasis on your SAT scores and HS gpa.

You likely would not have made it into these schools last year given your HS scores and gpa, and your college record has not shown substantial improvement, as your gpa is still about the same and you haven't retaken the SAT.

How about waiting another year and getting both stats up?

I appreciate the reply and I see your point Entomom, but I can't see myself sticking it out another year. Also while the numerical values of the GPAs may be similar, I think there is a pretty significant difference between a 3.5 in high school and a 3.5 in college.

A 3.5 in college is still low for Cornell, and so are your SATs, its a big reach I would say.

thanks for the opinions

any others
