So sadly I received a rejection letter from my first choice college, which was The University of Maryland College Park. I’ve been bummed about it for awhile because that was my dream school for years. I don’t understand why they didn’t let me in either. My GPA and SAT scores are a lot higher than some people that were accepted. I heard that most people that were accepted came from the Priority Deadline applicants and I applied regular decision. Maybe that is the reason why I wasn’t accepted. I really don’t want to give up yet, I want to try one more time to get into the college.
I’m going to attend a college in the fall and I want to see if I could transfer there in the spring. How likely do you think I will be accepted if I apply again?
What college are you thinking of attending for the fall?
If you are a MD resident, go have a nice long meeting with your guidance counselor, and ask that person to help you find out if UM-CP would consider you a viable applicant for January admissions. Then you could just take the fall off and start there second semester.
I am a Maryland resident. I was going to attend Hood College. That’s a very good idea, thank you. My only concern was not being a 2019 graduate like I planned, but I guess graduating a little late isn’t that bad.
